we're leaving on a jet plane

hello dedicated fans that have stuck with this blog til the end, good work. hello secret readers who never comment, you know who you are...this is your last chance to show yourself. and hello to everyone else who has happened upon this page. we are leaving vancouver tomorrow and coming home. we will arrive home on monday after being away for over a year (and debi jack being away for over 10months) we will be back in the burgh. before i let Debi get into the blog, could all you guys either send me a wee email with your number or even better a text because i still have the same number (07921574441) but i have lost all of yours because i got a new phone. then we can get some drinking on the go, wooop. so yeh please do that because i really want to see you all again as soon as possible. also debis phone will be out of action until later in the week so just call/txt me if you want her. ok so here goes our last couple of weeks in the big smoke...its been SO GOOD

hello, debi here. so when we last left you we were leaving jerico beach and moving into our new private room in the downtown hostel, SO good to have a place of our own after sharing with loads of strangers for weeks on end

we even got this nice piece of furniture


and this is our room, pretty nice, well not realy but it was to us :)


so one of the first things we did was make some mojitos and head to the beach to watch the sunset, they were tasty




we also did face masks, since we were now in the city and we had to look slick

and because we had out own room it meant we could do fun things like draw on each others feet


we even bought a puppy..........well maybe not but we wanted to, instead we spend about an hour in the pet shop looking at them, this is the one we want, cheap at $1900


so while we were in vancouver it was pride, yipee another one. it was a pretty big event and the parade went on for AGES, then we got drunk, just the usual pride activity

we met camilla for breakfast at the templeton, one of the best places for food ever! then we all headed to watch the parade

we headed for the beer garden, no surprise eh?




afterwards we bumped into one of the girls from the other hostel and we all headed to a sold out club night hoping to get in.....we did, woop. and i even got to shake shane from the l words hand!! a very good night indeed :)


one day we rented a tandem, something debbies been wanting to do for forever, it was so wierd getting used to it but i think we got the hang of it in the end

we also spent quite a bit of time hanging out at the beach, its so nice and close to the hostel






we have also fallen in love with slurpies, we still have a buy one get one free voucher we will HAVE to use up today!

we went to the flea market and this is our finds, debbie got a robot and 2 badges and i got a NES back to the future game, yipeeeee


we'v also had a few nights out, we even won a baseball cap each playing fish the yellow bottle top out of the tub, we were good at it




then we went out dancing

someone had painted these faces on some rocks at the beach

one day we went up grouse mountain, this is the cable car


there was a deer just walking about up on top

this is the top, they have quite a lot of stuff up there and have skiing in the winter

they even have 2 grizzly bears, the had a bit of a wresle when we were there, was very entertaining


and we just had 1 little cider at the top......since we were on our holidays




we took ourselves out for a bit of a posh dinner, it was soooooo tasty




we seen a man feeding racoons in stanley park, kinda strange but they seemed to like it




and because camilla works at the aquarium she got us in for free and debbie realy wanted to go to see the otters there who hold paws...so we went

here's them holding paws, one holds its paw up and the other floats over and grabs hold of it and they float around for ages, i think its the cutest thing we'v ever seen!!


then we got ice creams and watched the dolphin show




and we seen the beluga whales, this one was HUGE

well thats yer lot, we have more pics from our last few days but we'l put them up when we get home, hopefuly we'l get round to it. so its all over, we'r leaving tomorrow and we'r both scared and exctited. we'v had an amazing time and im realy going to miss canada, we'v done tons of stuff and had such good experiences, we even got our picture in the local paper!!! :)
